Make the weather
your own.

Build a custom weather configuration for your DayZ community server. Start with a preset, adjust the conditions, and download your file. No sign-in required.

XML works on console and PC. The script snippet is for PC servers with mission-script access. Choose one installation method.

Changing the map resets controls to a balanced starting preset. This is a custom profile, not a reproduction of vanilla weather.

Reset applies your starting values instead of restoring saved weather. It does not wipe loot or player data. Clearing it allows stored weather to affect starting conditions.

Put your file to work

Install on your server

XML · Xbox, PlayStation & PC

  1. Stop your community server and back up its existing weather file.
  2. Download the file as cfgweather.xml. Put it in the active mission folder beside cfgGameplay.json, not inside the db folder. Use your host’s file browser or upload access.
  3. Keep enable="1". Use reset="1" when you want these starting conditions applied on restart.
  4. Start the server and allow the initial transition time to pass. If weather is overridden, check existing mission scripts or weather mods. Host access and paths vary.

Common PC mission folders: mpmissions/dayzOffline.chernarusplus/, mpmissions/dayzOffline.enoch/, and mpmissions/dayzOffline.sakhal/. Console hosts may display different parent folders; use the active map’s mission directory.

Snowfall is disabled for the Chernarus/Livonia profiles, and rain is disabled for the Sakhal profile. Temperature, daylight, ground snow, volumetric fog, and mod-specific weather controllers are outside this tool.

Based on Bohemia weather documentation, official mission weather files, and Weather API. Checked October 9, 2026.
